Amanda is a proven international leader who knows how to build and scale brands in markets around the world.
The Hershey Company has named Amanda Almond president of its international business, effective October 12, 2026, recruiting a wine industry executive to lead the chocolate maker's growth outside the United States.
Almond succeeds Rohit Grover, who spent 27 years at Hershey, including eight years leading the international division. She will be based in the company's U.K. office and work alongside Hershey's International Leadership Team through the transition.
Almond joins Hershey from Vinarchy, the Bain Capital-backed global wine company, where she served as regional managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, overseeing 57 markets. Before Vinarchy, she spent 12 years in senior regional leadership roles at Bacardi. In total, she brings more than 30 years of consumer goods and retail experience to the role.
"Amanda is a proven international leader who knows how to build and scale brands in markets around the world," said Kirk Tanner, president and CEO of The Hershey Company. "She has a track record of scaling and growing businesses, bringing teams together and building high-performance cultures, and she brings the experience and energy to accelerate our international growth. I also want to thank Rohit for 27 years of leadership and dedication to Hershey. He has helped build our international markets to succeed in our next generation of growth."
The appointment is a notable piece of talent flow from wine into adjacent consumer categories. Almond's career has centered on scaling consumer businesses across different markets, managing brands and building commercial organizations, experience Hershey is counting on as it pushes confectionery, salty snacks and functional snacking brands deeper into international markets.
"Hershey's brands are loved around the world, and I'm honored to join the company at such an exciting time for its international business," said Almond. "I'm grateful to Rohit for the strong foundation he and the team have built, and I look forward to working with our teams, customers and partners to bring these iconic brands to even more consumers."
Almond holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Edinburgh and has completed advanced retail and leadership program studies at the University of Oxford and Harvard Business School. Colleagues describe her as a high-energy, transformational leader known for accelerating growth and building performance cultures that deliver consistent, profitable results.
Her departure leaves a gap at the top of Vinarchy's EMEA region at a moment when the global wine trade is under pressure from tariffs, soft demand and consolidation. For Hershey, the hire brings in an operator who has spent her career selling regulated, brand-driven consumer products across dozens of markets, a profile that maps closely onto the challenges of growing a snack portfolio abroad.
